Woodlands is an event with a great vibe for all ages.  The festival takes place outdoors on intimate landscaped, wooded and enclosed grounds -- very safe for families.

The Woodlands Family Stage will be dedicated to children’s music, with performers gearing songs for the younger set, and teens will enjoy roaming the grounds and listening to folk-rock band Miles to Dayton, whose growing popularity with Long Island young people has led to sold out shows in recent months.    

The festival will feature several talented children’s music artists.  Robbi Kumalo, a Parent Choice Award winner, will perform from her album, Music Makes Me Happy, with jazz, pop, and world music for kids.  Known far and wide as a "beloved pied piper of children," sing-songwriter and storyteller Johnny Cuomo will also perform on the Woodlands Family Stage.  Innovative children’s music artists CLIMB (Children Learn In Music Best), will return for an encore to last year’s popular performance at the inaugural Woodlands Folk Festival.  

In addition to great music that will have kids singing and moving, there will be free and low-cost games and activities to keep children interested throughout the day, including instrument making, face painting, scavenger hunts, story time and games.  Older kids will enjoy the henna booth, and great home-made food will fuel families for a beautiful early fall day of music and fun.
